One AcroYoga Friday

One AcroYoga Friday

This Friday in 5.45 Flow class at Yoga Elements we worked towards full cobra pose, individually and with a partner. Most people tend to be reluctant at first when it comes to acrobatic poses but all my students who decide to have a go at it have always come out of the poses with their face extra bright with a contagious smile.

As you can see:

Who said yoga was only for women?

Prior to this photo, they were convince that Bowling’s arms were too tiny to base, and look!

That’s how much fun we have in yoga classes.

It’s almost mandatory that any classes with AcroYoga poses will be filled with the sound of laughter. I always tell them to try to not have too much fun since we yoga practitioners are supposed to zen and sound. Usually it doesn’t work. The smiles are too big to be covered up!

This is one of many reasons why I enjoy AcroYoga. Thanks to Jason and Jenny who has made it popular in our time.

Acrobatic Skills Do Come in Handy

Acrobatic Skills Do Come in Handy

Yesterday We were enjoying the AcoYoga jam as usual when something unusual came near.

“Jump! Jump!”

“I can’t see!”

A group of school kids lost a hacky sack up in the palm tree and, of course, none among them was tall enough to see where the treasure was to be found.

As any sensible AcroYogini would do, Paulina calmly got on Mark’s shoulders and do the fireman’s job.

Hacky Sack, come out, come out. Wherever you are.

and just as any inspiring wave does, it creates another…

“Higher! Higher!”

Keep in mind that all these ridiculously awesome scenes had a grand background of classical music. I was expecting some goddess to manifest and lend her divine hands to the humanity in need, any minute now.

Oh, life
